2. Act NOW

Warnings and inspiration:
it’s essential to act against this lawless regime now. I feel like I’m watching Coyote suspended in the air, not noticing he’s run off a cliff.

Adrienne LaFrance flagged this urgency in The Atlantic today:
"Look around, take stock of where you are, and know this: Today, right now—and I mean right this second--you have the most power you’ll ever have in the current fight against authoritarianism in America.
Authoritarian leaders topple democracy faster than you can imagine. If you wait to speak out against them, you have already lost."

The U.S. is not the first country to face authoritarian take-over. The Czech protests offer advice for success, The Guardian:
"Roll had advice for US demonstrators: stay positive and, whatever Trump’s provocations, avoid hateful rhetoric – something he fears the US’s two-party system makes hard to avoid.
“The division in the United States is really dangerous because you see the other side as the enemy,” he said. “It’s crucial to remain non-violent and hopeful. Talking in front of lots of people, we realised you have to be careful about your language because if you are too negative or hateful, it can defeat your purpose. Remember that the other side are people. They’re your brothers and sisters.”"

And Owls, again!
