Dear Friends,
I have been overwhelmed by the response to my tiny efforts and to hear of all the others who are beginning to channel our collective outrage. Thank you for joining this fight!

Welcome newcomers!
1. Welcome
This list is rapidly developing into a newsletter focused on local actions to fight the government coup and illegal take-over of the federal government by unauthorized private citizens. I am currently channeling my outrage to speaking at local city and county board meeting and distributing fliers.
2. Group name
Apparently a name is necessary for effective action, who knew? I have decided against names that describe my actual feelings (outrage, fury, rage, wrath, at the anti-democratic coup by criminals, grifters, oligarchs, billionaires, etc.) in favor of a more benign phrase that might cross bridges:
Citizens Rally for Accountable Government (CRAG)
3. Communication modes.
You can follow this group in either one-way mode (newsletters like this one) or two-way mode (communicate to help plan and coordinate). My list is currently ≈120 people
- One-way mode, with all communication from me via bcc (your address is hidden):
- Do nothing to stay on this list;
- Email me to be added or removed from the list, or to change your email address.
- Two-way mode
- We are using the secure messaging app Signal. Use the link or QR code to join.

- Bring a sign or a flag
- Bring a friend or 5
- Bring a chant, I have a bullhorn!!
2. Congressional Recess is next week: tell Bergman his constituents want to see him.
Congresspeople are supposed to be working in their districts next week. Call Bergman to ask when and where he will be meeting consituents.
Jack Bergman:(202) 225-4735
We know he never has public meetings, but he does have secret ones with supporters; if you hear about one of these let me know!
3. Next Public Meetings where I plan to speak
Hancock City Council: 6:00 Wed. Feb 19th
City of Hancock Council Meets the third Wednesday of the month.
All Council Meetings are held in the Hancock City Hall Council Chambers. Meeting begins at 6:00 p.m.
Calumet Township 1:00 Fri. Feb 28th
The Charter Township of Calumet board meetings are held on the last Friday of each month starting at 1:00pm.
Please find the time/place of your local township. We can send someone to speak or support.
4. Please Share. Local friends, neighbors, and family are already being hit by the illegal actions of DOGE.
Please send me anything you would like to share, identified as either:
- public that I can share with this group,
- or private to me as an example I can incorporate into statements.
5. Posters, fliers, stickers(?)
- I can make and print (thanks ec!) posters and fliers to distribute. Do you have design skills? Make some new posters.
- Anyone want to make stickers to distribute? What should they say?
