Action to oppose government Coup
Hi All,
I’m reviving/updating my 2016 email list to respond to our current emergency.
I have decided to target local action at local elected officials, as an all-levels bottom-to-top strategy.
This week I plan to attend the Houghton County Board of Commissioners meeting on Tuesday at 4. Please join me!
This email is going to about 50 people (bcc); let me know if you want to be removed or use another address.

Other upcoming local meetings, and a few notes on messages and resources, are listed below.
I welcome other ideas and help!
Can anyone help here?:
- Does the Gazette cover these meetings? Other media?
- Others know more than me about local impacts, budget implications, etc. compiling specifics would be very useful.
- Please forward to interested people

Messages (please add, elaborate, bring your own):
A federal coup will have massive local impacts. We are already seeing threats to the federal workforce, grants and agencies, medicare, social security, personal privacy, and the rule of law.
Some useful county data:
Federal funding to Michigan, with some county level data.
Fliers (I will bring some copies)
